Welcome to the new Wayne Education Association’s Website. I hope that you will visit often. It is our goal to provide this site with important news and information that will keep you informed and up to date with the newest educational and political happenings. Please use this website as a tool in making informed decisions and keeping current with the information vital to our profession.
Specifically, this site will be the place to find information on workshops that we, as well as the county, will be offering throughout the year. In addition, you will find the schedule for Rep Council meetings, social gatherings, and other events that we will be holding in the future.
We will also be posting the latest national, state and local news vital to our profession. This will be especially important this fall as we head to the elections in November. Keep current by finding and supporting candidates that have been endorsed by the NJEA and PCEA political action committees and, of course, our local PAC, the Committee for Academic Excellence.
The site is a work in progress and will be adding new features throughout the school year. So stop in and check us out! If you have any suggestions for pages or material to be included, please drop us a line. We are always glad to hear from you and our genuinely interested in your thoughts. It is our desire to truly build a site that will serve all our members on a continuous basis.
Well that’s it for now. I wish you the best of school years. What you do is important and you should be proud of the work that you do every day for the children of Wayne. There is great honor in what you do and the WEA will do its best to see to it that our professionals are treated with respect and dignity.
